5 Potential Computer Component Failures and Solutions

Today’s PC is extremely powerful; quad core CPUs, gigabytes of RAM and solid-state drives bring top performance, yet things can and do go wrong.

Here are a few common component failures in a PC.

1. VGA card

This component sends all the pixels to your screen and with hi-def video and digital sound, that’s a lot of data to manage; ask any seasoned gamer and they will tell you the VGA card is the most important part of their gaming rig. 2. Power supply failure

Some malicious code wipes all the data from a drive and what’s more, the drive is usually unusable. SSD drives are preferable to HDD as they are less susceptible to virus damage, plus SSD is much faster. The only other damage would be to software, not hardware components.

5. Mainboard failure

This is never going to be a cheap fix and in most cases, a new mainboard is the only option. Asus is the top brand and they make some amazing motherboards, which you can find from the online computer parts store.
